The problem with tarot cards? They mean whatever they represent to the reader. They also tend to show what is POSSIBLE, not necessarily what will happen. There isn’t any universally accepted meaning for every individual card that is commonly accepted by all tarot card readers. Also, there’s no qualitative or quantitative evidence to say they’re accurate; therefore, they’re hard for ppl to believe.

I personally use them to see possibilities but I don’t see them as 100%. -
i use the tarot and they benefit me hugely and i used them as a practising catholic but i am no longer catholi i have become wiccain as cathloic did not fulfill my spiritual needs and my relationship to god

The Bible may say that certain practices are evil in nature, but doesn’t necessarily say it doesn’t work, in fact, when referring to Jonah, it worked. When the 11 disciples of Jesus chose a replacement for Judas Iscariot the method employed was in a way what the Bible may condemn.

I dont think they evil but that’s from my personal view. My religion(the Bible say it is) but the Bible say a lotta stuff that dont make no sense

This information that she shares is such a small understanding of these cards. There are much deeper meanings and I would suggest getting a copy of “The TAROT” A Key to the Wisdom of the Ages by Paul Foster Case.

This is bullshit. Tarot cards were made by Templars and have greater meaning that revealed something about history and future but not like you’re gonna get married or lose your money or stuff like that. Devil means devil and important thing about all that are numbers above.

What does the Devil mean when its one of the cards I got from my surprise pile? I had 2 cards there. The surprise pile is about unexpected forces that could come at anytime. What does the Devil mean as unexpected force?

Satan, Tower = 9/11, then the stars – looking for “hope”, optimism; some voted for Barack Obama after tragedy. Interesting stuff. – P.S. those are just my own speculation of the symbolism used by the tarots; doesn’t mean it’s true.

Thats so true Mistress thats why so many books have diff interpretations but there are universal meanings of course. To me, the Devil is violence, all the sins, disease, excesses. It’s not just humour, materialism and lust-it can be v.nasty. If it represents a person don’t underestimate them. The Tower I haven’t built up much for apart from loss such as theft. The Star is just what she read, it relates alot to career and love too.

you know why are we all arguing about this. They are just cards and i personally don’t see how they could be anti religion this or evil that. Just shut up and do what you feel like. You can play tarot cards and still be christian or catholic or whatever.
